COURSE OVERVIEW
This all-encompassing two-day CORPORATE SUSTAINABILITY MANAGEMENT: RISK, PROFITS AND PURPOSE Masterclass provides participants with the knowledge and tools to become a purpose-driven and sustainable business leader. This course explores the different business models that companies can use to drive change and explains why purpose driven businesses are particularly well positioned to tackle the world’s biggest problems. You will learn how sustainability issues influence corporate strategy and how corporations may transform these challenges into sources of competitive advantage, drive innovation, create shareholders value, reduce costs, maximize profit, improve operational efficiency, conserve resources, mitigate environmental harm, improve brand reputation and create value.
Participants will identify practical strategies to navigate the challenges of developing a sustainable business and learn management practices that positively impact the Triple Bottom Line.
TRAINING OBJECTIVES
- Participants will understand sustainability concepts & acquire skills on how to integrate sustainability strategy in business and place of work.
- Participants will learn how to formulate new and review existing corporate policies such as energy policy, waste reduction policy, procurement policy, labour policy, HSSE policy, Code of conduct, etc, inline with the United Nations Global Compact.
- Participants will learn Waste Elimination and Resource Life Extension Concepts (Circular Economy).
- Participants will learn Stakeholders identification and engagement strategy.
- Participants will learn how to apply sustainability in the supply chain
- The ability to develop and communicate a business case for sustainability.
- Develop management systems and performance frameworks for sustainability practices for use in a variety of organizations
- Participants will learn how to measure, reduce carbon emissions, &gain energy efficiency knowledge
- Gain an understanding of communication and reporting framework in line with the GRI G4 global standard
- Local, regional, and global standards, frameworks, principles on sustainability will be taught.
